- Grapes: Callet, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Garnacha y Merlot Aging: 10 Months in Barrel (30% New American Oak, 70% is a mix of both 2 year old American Oak andyear old American and French Oak) Clean dark ruby/purple color. A lovely delicate nose, with strong black fruit aromas and hints of both mineral and wild flower. Incredibly silky mouthfeel with great structure, medium body and tannin. The cherry flavor still remains prominent on the palate but tones down slightly to allow for more of the floral and earthy tones to come forward. I would highly recommend looking for this wine because not only read more...is it a pleasure to taste the unique flavor that comes from the native Callet grape, but also a fabulous wine to compare with your traditional powerhouse Riojan wine.
