- The fruit for this wine is grown in the foothills of the Adelaide range as you leavethe beach side town of McLaren Vale. The sandy loam soils rise andgently face the west, allowing the vines to soak up the warm afternoonrays of the sun. The cooling evening breezes, which flow fromthe sea up the valley floor, give the vines relief during the summernights and allow steady maturation of the berries while preservingelegance and natural acidity. This medium to full-bodied Shiraz displays upfront cherry andlicorice aromas and secondary spicy oak so characteristic ofMcLaren Vale Shiraz.
