With a clarity and breadth that is unequaled by other varieties, we believe Pinot noir best expresses the character of these sites. Rather than stamping wine with a varietal trademark, we see Pinot noir as a vehicle for conveying the aroma, flavor and texture of the location in which it is grown. We also have a place in our hearts for the limited production of two white wines, Chardonnay from Celilo Vineyard near White Salmon, Washington, and Pinot Blanc from Freedom Hill Vineyard. Read less

The Angela Pinot Noir from Ken Wright's Clawson Creek winery is bright and fresh in the 2009 vintage, with high toned red fruit and baking spice aromatics, wonderful acidity, and a lingering finish.

WS 90pts. - According to the Wine Spectator: Bright and jazzy, with a few gritty tannins poking at the supple black cherry, espresso and cream flavors, which extend into the elegant finish. Drink now through 2018. 821 cases made.

Aged for ten months in 60% new French oak barrels (Troncais, Navers and Alliers). The wine is just terrific. It literally glows in the glass, with a brilliant dark ruby color that turns darker at the core. The aroma is assertive and demands attention. On the palate, brilliant and focused flavors of plum and dark cherry are kept under control by some fine tannins -- the wine has a bit of desirable grip now. It is detailed and layered, but still lithe. It is clearly one of the top wines of the vintage that I've tasted so far. Recession be damned, you gotta jump on this one.
