Angas Brut Chardonnay Pinot Noir 'Premium Cuvée' Brut NV

Winemaker's Notes:

Angas Brut. Its name, consistency and tradition of quality make it one of the most popular sparkling wines in the world. Angas Brut was created in the mid 1980's and since then the intention has been to provide maximum flavour and quality at an affordable price. Bottle fermentation and using the classic grape varieties of Champagne - Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, has given Angas Brut complexity and freshness with a fine bead and creaminess on the palate. The Angas Brut Non Vintage Cuvée is a blend of 75% Pinot Noir and 25% Chardonnay. Very pale straw in colour, the lifted 'strawberry and cream' and biscuit characters of Pinot Noir contribute to the palate richness. This is counter-balanced by the 'citrus' Chardonnay fruit structure and fine acidity of the wine. Bottle fermentation and ageing on yeast lees gives this wine complexity and produces dough and nutty flavours.
