Mit diesem Merlot ist Luigi Zanini ein ausgezeichneter Tessiner Rotwein gelungen. Es ist ein mächtiger, konzentrierter Wein mit feiner, tiefgründiger Struktur und delikater Textur. Das Potenzial kündigt sich bereits im Bouquet an: reife Fruchtnoten, Tabak, Kakao, Rst- und Tertiär-Aromen. Im Gaumen zeigt sich ein vielschichtiges, kompaktes Gerüst mit saftigen Gerbstoffen und harmonischer Frucht. Damit die kompakte, intensive Aromatik voll zum Ausdruck gelangt, empfehlen wir, diesen Wein einige Stunden vor dem Genuss zu ffnen.
For $7.99 per bottle, this is one of those finds one looks to fill-up their wine refrig with. Going into the Fall season this is just perfect for those comfort food dishes served this time of year. Enjoy!!! Cheers!
Bright black cherry hue, aromas of blueberries, violets and spices; flavor notes of red berries, cherry cola and underbrush with a hint of cedar, on the edge between rustic and refined.

This Corbières has a deep ruby colour. On the nose, the first impression is of sweet stone fruit and plums with a big herbal quality and a touch of ground black pepper. The ripe fruit element continues on the palate but moves and changes to a more savoury style with the spice, herbs and pepper creeping in and then the tannins which although present are well integrated. You can sense the mediterranean heat. It's ready to drink now but will certainly keep for a few years yet. We drank it with a plain char-grilled steak and the match was fabulous. The wine has around 45% Grenache and Syrah with some old vine Carignan making up the blend. 10 - 12 months ageing in French barriques after a period of cuve ageing gives it complexity but by no means does the oak component dominate the palate.
Very full-bodied for a Macon, more like a white burgundy proper than a typical flinty Macon. This wine saw a bit of oak, giving it a bit of creaminess and heft. It's not buttery, but there's some weight there. Apples, lemon and fresh cut grass dominate. Very good acidity. Was great with shrimp risotto.

Ruby-red. Smoky licorice-accented cherry and licorice on the nose. Bitter cherry and chocolate flavors are given grip by solid tannins and gain sweetness on the finish. Solidly built and much more brooding than most wines at this price.
The 2006 G3 from Terra Alta is purple-colored with a fragrant perfume that jumps from the glass. Black cherry, black raspberry, and blackberry liqueur notes are prominent aromatically and on the palate. The wine has excellent depth and concentration. This is an excellent value to drink over the next three years.
This superb wine takes truly great fruit and augments it (rather than masking it, thank heavens) with just a whiff of very appealing oak. The wood notes are just about as subtle as they could be, and most of the effect is really indirect rather than overt, as oxygen intake seems to have been more the objective than outright flavoring. Be that as it may, the end result is indisputably delicious, showing quite complex fruit notes of lime, honeydew melon, and ripe fig, along with accents of dried herbs and smoke.
Bright straw-yellow with flashes of green. Multifaceted, unmistakably sauvignon aromas of artichoke, asparagus, green fig, citrus and tomato leaf. Bright acids give energy and lift to the fig, citrus, sage and mint flavors. With its complicating stoney minerality and terrific juicy persistence, fans of slightly greener-styled sauvignons will fall in love with this one.
Made from the multi-faceted Garnacha (Grenache) grape and aged in stainless steel tanks to highlight the grape’s natural color and aroma. A powerful perfume opens the experience, loaded with dark cherry and blackberry aromas. There is a subtle smoky quality that accentuates the natural fruit and remains free of any oak influence, allowing the fruit to shine. The body is medium-heavy, the color is royal purple — and royal you will feel once you sip. An outrageous value at twice the price.
The 2006 Chateauneuf du Pape is a winner. Inky blue/purple with notes of graphite, blueberry, blackberry, smoke, Provencal herbs and a bit of licorice and pepper, it is deep, full-bodied, with sweet tannins and loads of fruit and glycerin. Drink it over the next 12–14 years.
