Winemaker's Notes:

Champoux wines always have excellent body. This year follows that history. We like the complex nose the wine presents as well as the depth of fruit. The grapes for this wine were fully ripe but have enough acidity to preserve freshness. The tannins are very refined and soft, just as we like them. WINE & VINTAGE 2003 Champoux COMPOSITION 59% Champoux Block Cab Sauv 21% Cab Franc 15% Merlot 5% Petit Verdot AVERAGE AGE OF VINES 23 years FINISHED WINE Titratable Acidity .66 grams per 100 ml pH 3.78 Alcohol 14.3% COOPERAGE Taransaud and Demptos new French 35% TIME IN BARRELS 21 months RELEASE DATE 10.01.05 TOTAL PRODUCTION Cases/750ML 808
