Andrew Rich Sauvignon Blanc Willamette Valley Croft Vineyard 2011

Editorial Review by Gregory Dal Piaz:

A lot of sweet fruit on the nose. Floral with a bit of gooseberry. Complex, toasted almond with a hint of bacon. Very intensely perfumed with lovely, floral exotic wood spice and bright acids. Vivid on the palate with ripe fruit, great mineral cut and wood adding some roundness and softness. Green plummy fruit and a touch of tannin on the finish. Good length, little melon and lemon fruit.

Croft - Vinhos, S.A:
Roêda has long been recognised as one of the great Port vineyards and in the Douro Valley there is a common saying, attributed to the nineteenth century poet Vega Cabral, which goes ‘if the wine district were a golden ring, Roêda would be the diamond’.
