Rating: 93/100 - As reviewed by Wine & Spirits Magazine on 06/09 This muscular blend of mostly cabernet franc and merlot, with a touch of cabernet sauvignon and petit verdot, is showing all sorts of raw power. Its aromas carry Red Mountain's classic blue fruit, accompanied by a fine, slightly sweet oak note. Its flavors are tense yet unabashed, with black cherry and sweet plum firmed up by ferrous tannins that suggest black tea and dark minerals. Still youthful, it needs plenty of time in bottle before serving with a steak.
