Thus the wine is a blend of Syrah and Viognier that was picked and fermented together. Roasted Slope is the direct translation of Cote Rotie, one of the most famous vineyards in all of France, where Syrah and Viognier are allowed/encouraged to grow together in the same vineyards. We craft our wine with the same winemaking regime that the French use to craft their wines. The co-fermentation of the Viognier with the Syrah yields a wine that is slightly softer and smoother for its young age, with the wonderful perfumed highlights of Viognier in the nose.
