External Reviews for Andre Clouet Brut
Here is a truly brilliant multi-vintage Champage. The nose has notes of brioche but also earth and brine and fresh sea breezes. The concentration is superb and the finish is full of chalky minerality.
Because André Clouet augments his 10 hectares of fruit with 5% purchased fruit, he falls into the category of negociant rather than grower. Still, the wines are more reminiscent of a small producer than of a large Champagne house. Amazingly ripe, mineraled, and complex, this wine has truly captured our hearts.
