Anderson's Conn Valley Vineyards Red Bordeaux Blend Napa Valley Éloge 2002
Dark Ruby Red, Aromas of Cedar, Blackberry, Allspice, Pepper and Leather. Full bodied, big middle, with chocolate, bing cherry, some spice. Good balance between fruit, oak and acid. Medium finish. Long aftertaste. Alcohol: 13.2% Brix: 22.9 pH 3.72 TA 0.59 Only 150 bottles of this very special Eloge - comes in etched 1.5L bottles only.
Nice color and muted fruit on the nose along with hints of damp straw. Upon tasting, I notice refined tannins which hold together the dark fruits, vanilla, light touches of oak and a definite earthiness. The wine in my opinion is perfectly structured and has a finish that goes on forever. Year after year the "ELOGE" becomes more refined than the previous year.
