Anderson's Conn Valley Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley Estate Reserve 1992
COLOR: Dark ruby and magenta hues. AROMA: An intense nose of sweet black cherry with hints of violets and cassis. TASTE: Full-bodied and sweet with rich blackcuurant fruit, notes of black cherry, raspberries, chocolate, cassis and hints of minerals balanced with good acid and toasty oak.
Just had this wine a week ago. After letting it decanter for about 30mins it was ready to drink. This wine is lite, smooth and have a elegant, restrained style produced in Bordeaux. Recent vintages have all produced top flight wines made in a restrained, but rich style. The 1992 Cabernet Sauvignon was closed when I tasted it, but there is no doubting its concentrated, beautifully sweet, blackberry/cassis-scented nose, full body, intense concentration, and structured, tannic finish.
