Food Pairings for Anderson's Conn Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Reserve Napa Valley
Wonderful cassis and cranberry nose. Wonderful cab that needs a lot of time and is different with every taste. Dark and brooding with lots of tar. Still hot, but smooth with vanilla overtones. A great cab with a spectacular future.
Full bodied...great with any type of steak.
Exceedingly Bordeaux-like in texture and weight. Elegant and medium-bodied but with excellent depth and length. Coming into its golden era and ready to drink now. Generous cassis, tobacco, spice, and cedar aromas and flavors, long fruit-filled finish.

Just had this wine a week ago. After letting it decanter for about 30mins it was ready to drink. This wine is lite, smooth and have a elegant, restrained style produced in Bordeaux. Recent vintages have all produced top flight wines made in a restrained, but rich style. The 1992 Cabernet Sauvignon was closed when I tasted it, but there is no doubting its concentrated, beautifully sweet, blackberry/cassis-scented nose, full body, intense concentration, and structured, tannic finish.

Pure creme de cassis intertwined with floral and licorice notes are present in the inky/purple-colored 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve. Rich, full-bodied, and meant for long-term aging, it should hit its peak in 7-8 years, and evolve for 25-30 years. These brilliant 2007s are some of the strongest efforts that have emerged from Anderson's Conn Valley Vineyards over the last decade. ** Only 12 in Stock **

94 Points - The Wine Advocate"The unfined, unfiltered 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve spends two years in French oak and another year in the bottle before being released. This cuvee has a long track record of aging (the 1990 and 1991 are still going strong). The dense ruby/purple-tinged 2006 offers notes of new saddle leather, black currants, autumnal vegetation/forest floor, cassis, and cherries, superb richness, and a full-bodied, powerful finish. Cellar it for 5-6 years, and drink it over the following 25 years. "Winemaker's notes:Dark ruby red in color. Lots of cassis, leather, cigar box, black pepper, pencil lead, espresso bean, and chocolate on the nose. Rich, mouth-coating black cherry and mineral. A very plush and long aftertaste that has concentrated flavors. Sweet tannins and perfect fruit, oak, and acid balance. Will improve for the next 12-15 years and then hold for 10 years more.
Wine Advocate ReviewRated 95One of the more underrated Cabernet Sauvignons in Napa (and its not surprising that I feel the same way about their nearby neighbor, Seavey) is Andersons Estate Cabernet Sauvignon from no other place than ... the Conn Valley. The 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve has beautiful notes of licorice, incense, and a hint of tapenade intermixed with creme de cassis, smoke, and background graphite. A pure, rich wine that is more structured and restrained than the 2004, but with plenty of tannin and admirable concentration and depth, give this wine 2-4 years of bottle age and drink it over the next 25 years.Wine Tasting NotesDark ruby with almost a black-purple ring at the glass/wine interface. Wonderful aromas of spice, with vanilla, sweet oak and coffee. Very ripe blackberries. Well balanced between the acid, oak and fruit. Medium mouth feel, a sweet black tea with honey taste. Soft tannins and texture on the sides with a long finish that is smooth, not bitter. Long lingering aftertaste. Should be at its best 2012-2018.
93-96 points Antonio Galloni (Wine Advocate): ...serious power and depth. Layers of blue and black fruit, smoke, tobacco and licorice are woven together beautifully. Vivid yet rich and resonant, the 2010 stands out for its exceptional purity and overall harmony. Here, too, the oak needs time to integrate, but tha shouldn't be an issue, as readers should not plan on opening bottles anytime soon. A creamy, layered finish laced with expressive blue and black fruits rounds things out in style... 2018-2032. (Dec 2012)
