Andeluna Cellars’ wines combine fruit grown in world-class vineyards with the very best of Argentine winemaking tradition. Located in Mendoza, the premiere wine region of Argentina near the town of Tupungato, the Andeluna Cellars winery was built at an elevation of 4,300 feet. Surrounded by 170 acres of mature vineyards that produce Bordeaux varietals of the finest quality, the 48,000 square foot winery has a one million liter tank capacity, a 1,200 barrel aging capacity and a 720,000 bottle storage capacity. Our passion for making the finest wines in Argentina is proudly reflected in every bottle of Andeluna wine. The 2009 Andeluna Malbec has great body with roundness and elegance. Intense aromas of cherry, black currant, cassis and vanilla with notes of cherry liqueur and dark chocolate combine with lush flavors of raspberries, spices, chocolate and anise that complement the sweet tannins and produce an exceptional wine with intense fruit notes and a long finish. Jancis Robinson says of it: "Eight months in French and American oak. 90% Malbec, 6% Syrah, 3% Cabernet Sauvignon. Yield 10 t/ha. Densely packed nose that is far more lively on the palate - lots to offer, black cherry, pure and vivid. Needs time for the nose. 16.5+ points".

Completely over-flavored wine, finishes with perfume like tastes. Headaches manifest before the bottle is gone. Disappointing.

Great color intensity with violet tones. Aroma offruits and flowers, with notes of dulce de leche,vanilla and chocolate given by its ageing in oakbarrels for 6 months. Typical sweetness of thisvariety. Balanced, full bodied and complex withripe tannins.Serve at 18.
