Anciano Tempranillo Reserva 2005

Member Review by tabednar:

Simple, yet delicious example of the Tempranillo grape. Fresh berry and cherry aroma. Light-medium bodied with a smooth texture that glides over the taste buds. Hints of cherry and slight oak intermixed with slight tannins that would do well with some more age. Not bad to drink now, but probabably worth holding onto a few more years.

The Tempranillo grapes used to make this dark cherry red wine are from small growers in the Valdepenas region of central Spain. These grapes are aged in oak barrels for a minimum of 12 months resulting in a fresh fruits and balanced tannins
