A Cabernet Sauvignon wine from California in USA. 2003 Anakota Cabernet Sauvignon Helena Montana Vineyard 750ml
Setting the bar high for a Knights Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon Helena Montana exhibits a deep ruby/purple color, more structure and tannin than its sibling, along with abundant amounts of creme de cassis fruit intermixed with notions of licorice and flowers. Structured with good minerality as well as a spicy, full-bodied finish, it should be at its peak between 2007-2018+.

Aged in 100% new French oak, the dense saturated purple-colored 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon Helena Dakota offers up beautiful scents of flowers, blackberries, blueberries, charcoal, hot rocks, and smoky new oak. Rich, full-bodied, and tannic, this impressive effort possesses a Bordeaux-like elegance and complexity. It represents a combination of North Coast Cabernet with Bordeaux freshness and elegance. Give it 2-3 more years of bottle age, and enjoy it over the following 10-15 years. Full medium ruby. Highly aromatic nose of cassis, violet, licorice, cocoa powder and black pepper. Supple and impressively sweet, but with terrific backbone under the intense black fruit flavors. A very broad, round wine thats not at all heavy. And not especially muscular for a mountain wine. Broadens out impressively on the back end. A very good showing for both of these Dakota vintages. ** SOLD OUT **
