The other night I was discussing with someone how long it has been since I had a wine that I actually really disliked (not counting crappy BTG wines in various crappy restaurants). I really wanted to like this wine. Single vineyard. Pinot Noir. Chile (well, that was the wildcard I guess). The nose on this wine was very odd. A fairly strong ocean/brine smell to it along with a chemical note that I couldn't quite place. On the palate, there was a tiny bit of thin tasting/watered down fruit but it was overwhelmed by the alcohol as well as flavors similar to the nose. My wife who is my barometer of what "normal" people like had one sip and then put the glass down with the review of "yuck".

This Pinot Noir presents a dark ruby colour with violet hues. It has intense aromas of spice and aromatic herbs, in addition to black currant, notes of black pepper and cinnamon. At the palate it is fresh and balanced, with a good structure and long finish. Delicious at 14-16ºC with red and white meats, seafood, risotto and pasta.
