Anaba Viognier Mendocino County Late Harvest Nelson Vineyards 2008
A rich, concentrated wine, with heady aromas of dried apricot and orange peel, accented with subtle lemon minerality. Smooth and rich on the palate, it is dominated by flavors of candied orange marmalade, lavender and honey. A decadent wine to sip slowly, it’s sublime when splashed on summer stone fruit and a perfect partner for ricotta cheesecake.
Anaba’s handcrafted, artisan wines are made from the finest fruit from our Carneros Estate vineyard and from other prominent vineyards in Sonoma County. Our elegant Coriol Rhône-style blends are inspired by the outstanding wines from France's Rhone Valley, while our exquisite Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs are provocative renditions of their Burgundian counterparts.
Shows promise but was a little out of balance to me. Lots of orange rind aromas. Some honey and white fruit. A little sweeter than expected could be that acid was a little low. May need more time to come together.
