Anaba’s handcrafted, artisan wines are made from the finest fruit from our Carneros Estate vineyard and from other prominent vineyards in Sonoma County. Our elegant Coriol Rhône-style blends are inspired by the outstanding wines from France's Rhone Valley, while our exquisite Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs are provocative renditions of their Burgundian counterparts.
Three and a half glasses
Really nice blackberry fruit and red spice on the nose, hint of smokiness that tones down a bit after the wine sits. The body is fruit forward, with a solid blend of tannins. I really enjoy the mouthfeel - spicy attack and silky smooth release.
Solid Rhone blend but tasted a bit tight. Needs age or air to open up. Nice smokey, meaty aroma with hints of red fruit. There is a nice bit of spice with a medium finish. Was muted but can see this opening up nicely.
Very nice blend Grenache (60%), Mourvedre (25%), Syrah (10%), Counoise (2.5%) and Petite Sirah (2.5%). Plum and cherry aromas and flavors, with loads of black pepper on the finish. Very spicy. Needs some time to settle. Drink 2009-2012.
Good food wine, could stand up to a lot of flavors, even Asian.
