This old vine Zinfandel displays the character of a head-pruned, dry-farmed vineyard with the fruit character well-intergrated into the structure of the wine. Aromas of brambly red fruit, leather and tobacco leaf are followed by flavors of framboise and cherry pastry. Consider serving this one with your favorite braised lamb shank recipe with creamy polenta.
