The aroma of cherry fruit leather and plum sauce begins your journey into this wine, which is crafted from grapes originating in the Watson Vineyard, some 400 feet up Bradford Mountain on the west side of Dry Creek Valley. Grower Andrew Forchini is a dedicated viticulturalist (and Dry Creek Valley native), and his attention to details results in consistently excellent fruit. Flavors in the complex wine are reminiscent of licorice root, cocoa powder, black raspberry, and a hint of coffee. It will pair magnificently with applewood-smoked chicken and roasted root vegetables.
