Ameztoi Getariako Txakolina Rubentis 2011

Winemaker's Notes:

This light and crisp wine is bottled with residual carbon to give it its signature natural spritz. Candied red fruits combine with a lime infused edge makes this a wildly intriguing rosé. 50% Hondarribi Beltza and 50% Hondarribi Zuri.

I love this rosé -- luscious strawberry aroma, beautiful acidity, and dry and fruity on the palate. YUM.

scent is spicy and a bit flowery has a tart start, toasty mid, and a lemon finish

Tasted at the Wine Century annual dinner: Strawberries, soft some acids. A tad bitter. Softly sparkling, frizzante basically. Awkward finish.

Crisp and effervescent. A fantastic warm weather change from typical french rose.

This is truly thirst quenching rosé. A Txakoli rosé, you say? Why yes. Made from the same grapes as Txakoli in the tiny Basque region, this wine shows bright acidity, with hints of rose petals, red candied fruits and fresh strawberries.
