This has richness and definition, with inviting yellow apple and melon flavors backed by honeysuckle, heather and lemon verbena notes. The long, ripe finish is kept honest by lingering minerality. Drink now.

Light gold. Exotic aromas of poached pear, peach skin, truffle and white pepper. A smoky note builds with air and carries onto the palate, adding complexity to the fresh orchard and pit fruit flavors. Manages to be dense and lively at once, finishing with very good clarity and smoky persistence.

The Amayna chardonnay has my vote for "wine most likely to be confused with a banana cream pie!" The mouthfeel is incredibly rich and smooth, while the ripe tropical fruit and buttercream notes dominate on the palate. I've never had a Chardonnay this bold that was priced so inexpensively. Well done!

Stylish, with pear, piecrust and lightly toasted hazelnut notes that glide easily through the toast- and tropical fruit-tinged finish. Drink now.

The 2006 Chardonnay exhibits mineral, almond, white peach, and poached pear aromas. On the palate it displays elegance, a creamy texture, layers of flavor, and a striking resemblance to Grand Cru white Burgundy. It is a steal at the asking price.
