Altivo Chardonnay-Viognier Reserva 2009

Member Review by DWCPSC:

Fruity but not overpoweringly sweet. Wonderful green apple and peach notes. I'm not a Chard person but this was a nice wine with the meal.

Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.

Bright golden color with green hues. This 50:50 blend of Chardonnay and Viognier is wonderfully aromatic. Notes of peach, stone fruit and exotic citrus characters leap from the glass. The wine is lush and velvety. Peach, melon and stone fruit flavors coat the palate, with subtle sweet spicy notes. Flavors linger long after the last sip. Enjoy with seafood, blue cheeses or spicy foods

Bright golden color. Intense aromas of white peaches, apple blossom and pineapple. Full bodied yet bright and inviting. Great finish.
