A smooth wine, with a brambly, leathery aroma and a soft, berry palate. Bits of smoke in the finish adds to the wine's enjoyment. Excellent with food, we had with mediterranean chicken (spicy and slightly tomatoey) with saffron couscous and it handled the spiciness of the food very well.
