Alta Vista Malbec Premium 2010
A study in contrasts - it's intensely concentrated, yet the flavors are light and tend more to strawberry and red cherry than the usual dark fruit. Set against that brightness is a swampy bouquet full of cooked eggplant and mushroom. As it opens up, there are more complex notes of sesame and black pepper. It's a riddle wrapped in an enigma, and worth trying for sure. (AV 90, http://argovino.com/?p=1182)

Bright red-ruby. Blackberry and licorice aromas accented by herbs and spices. Supple savory and fine-grained with a nicely restrained sweetness. The tannins are well integrated but the wine s fruit is still a bit locked-up today and in need of a year or two of bottle aging. Firm and persistent on the finish. 88+ Stephen Tanzers IWC.
This jammy red shows layers of game and baking spice flavors to the ripe cassis and kirsch notes, which linger with a floral aftertaste. Drink now. -NW Wine Spectator. A Malbec wine from Mendoza in Argentina. 2010 Alta Vista Premium Malbec 750ml
It has a simple but fresh nose that veers towards an earthier style, but it bestows great freshness and a sense of personality. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins that do not distract from the crisp blackberry and bilberry fruit.
This Malbec has an intense nose with aromas of fresh red cherries, currants, and plum with hints of vanilla, cinnamon and cloves. Light bodied, leading to fresh, soft rounded tannins on the palate, accompanied by subtle coffee, and cedar notes. Well structured, showing a lot of complexity, finishing off with a light and dry spiciness.
