Alta Vista Chardonnay Classic 2011

Member Review by puhnner:

Very easy to like and drink. First note...oddly it smelled like chocolate fudge licorice might taste, too bad, that would have been interesting; then a taste of sparkling pineapple/lemon mixture. Little to no oak, but a silky buttery mouth feel. I had it with left over grilled butterflied Pork Loin in a Sandwich...the poor idea for a pairing besides, was quite good. Saved a bit for today for a 2nd go at and equally good and more refreshing. 2 Gallons of this with a pool and a sunny day.

Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.
