Wow - what a find! Some great "wino" friends of mine turned me onto this tiny little winery in Paso Robles and since I know their taste in wine and believe it to be top notch, I decided to have a visit and taste for myself. Wow, what a find...did I say that already? Love these estate grown wines - ALL of them, but Im starting out with two for now, this Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre blend and their 12 OClock High Rhone blend of Viognier, Roussanne, Marsanne & Grenache Blanc - very nicely put together and tasty, tasty, tasty. Following is a bit of winery info. Alta Colina produces world-class estate wines exclusively from Rhône varietals. We grow every grape at the Alta Colina Estate Vineyard on the Westside of Paso Robles. We savor the journey and remain committed to maintaining our core values of integrity and respect-for our people, partners, patrons, and the natural environment. Every Alta Colina wine is estate grown and produced. That means we personally grow every grape and vinify every bottle. The wine never leaves our premises until you purchase a bottle and take it home. Three generations of the Tillman family depend on the Alta Colina Vineyard-we intimately understand that we must sustainably farm our property. Not only to continue growing world-class wine grapes, but also to ensure that Alta Colina Vineyard will remain productive for future generations.

Tasting Notes:

Creamy vanilla, cherry cola, & baked black fruits lead you to the silky mid-palate, characterized by pepper & blueberry. Lingering fruit comes through on the finish. Anticipate tannins to soften with time & a smokier character to show through.
