Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.

91 points. On the aroma, I pick up on ripe cranberry tones, very lush red fruit, a good amount of mixed kitchen spices, tons of floral elements, and a very light touch of pepper. There is this incredible core of framboise and violets balanced with something like coffee and choclate. Very interesting. The palate opens sweet and plummy, with some dark raspberries, chocolate, and a little coffee. There is also a pretty strong floral component and a bit of vanilla bean. It’s got nice gripping tannins, good complexity, and a lingering finish. The acidity is ripe and bright, with a fresh lushiousness. This is a really interesting wine, it almost reminds me of a very well made mourvedre blend. Everything comes together perfectly for this one, definately a wine Worth Trying.
