Difficult to fault this wine - both in terms of quality and value for money. This wine is an excellent demonstration of what Chile can do really well. If any of your friends or guests are doubtful about Chilean wine, ask them to try this. I recently gave this 18/20. The quality of the wine making shows through - excellent clean, forward berries fruit with a lovely 'New World' capsicum nose, with toasted notes and cassis. Very good finish, excellent balance - drink now. For the red wine drinker, I can't think of a better value wine generally available in the UK. I guess it's selected parcels of young vines. I am not sure if it will age but who cares?

This full bodied wine showed notes of leather, vanilla, chocolate, and cherries on the nose and palate.  The fruit was sweet red and black plums, there was some light baking spices, and firm tannins. This was one of the more full-bodied wines of the tasting and recommended.

My Rating 86: full bodied fruity wine with some fine tannins. Nose is long with strong berry smell \. Typical Chilenian Price was OK at Costco

Nice cab, maybe a bit overpriced at $18. Oak, blackberry, firm tannins provide a smooth finish with a bit of eucalyptus. A little anise, vanilla, and bitter herbs in the background (made me think of Zwack Unicum). Maybe needs more time in the bottle. I would score it 88/100.

Excellent value...maybe the best "quality per dollar" cab around. Smokey dark chocolate, plush tannins...not too harsh thanks to 10% merlot infused in. Tastes like a 30-40 dollar Napa Cab, all for less than 20 bucks. You won't be disappointed!

Little murky on the nose off a pop n' pour, with a good amount of soil and some funk showing along with red fruits. This blew off after 15-20 minutes, and the soil gradually gave way to the red fruits. A pleasant wine, above average but well short of outstanding.

Deeply colored with aromas of caramel, cinnamon and mint, this full-bodied wine has mellow flavor, depth and an attractive finish. Enjoy with grilled veal chops or chicken livers sauteacute;ed with mushrooms and madeira.

Therersquo;s a slight resinous quality to this red, accenting the juicy cherry, mint and herb flavors. Moderate concentration and structure. Drink now.

From Chile, this affordable red shows dark plum and cassis aromas and flavors, with a touch of smoky bacon fat adding interest. Itrsquo;s chewy and muscular, with a briery note throughout. Drink now through 2001.

This lively red shows crisp berry and herbal flavors, vibrant and clean, with light, firm tannins and a minty finish. Try slightly chilled. Drink now.

A rich wine with good varietal character, this Chilean Cabernet is concentrated, well balanced and seamlessly presented, integrating smoky oak notes, ripe, sweet blackberry flavors and ripe tannins. A fine match for hearty foods. A real value for all it offers.

Deep ruby in color, this Cab is ripe with fruit and spices, supported nicely by cedar shadings and firm tannins that give it plenty of backbone.

Winemaker's Notes:

One of the top Chilean Cabernets, aged for 12 months in French oak barrels. Intense ruby in color with red fruits evocations of blackcurrant, chocolate and cigar box, in balance with well-integrated oak (French Alliers fine grained oak). Of great complexity in the mouth, in mid palate is full bodied and balanced with a lasting persistence and a remarkable finish. Although a superb wine as it is, it may also be considered as a great wine for cellaring.
