Wine Tasting Notes
Brilliant straw yellow with a green shimmer. Quite pronounced and expressive aroma with flowery and somewhat spicy notes. Rich flavored in the mouth, with a slight smokiness at the back and a good, fresh finish.
Editorial Reviews
This is quite aromatic in a narrow range of herbal and citrus tones with some apple tones and plenty of dusty minerality. In the mouth this is fairly large, a real Chardonnay drinker’s Pinot Grigio with round, lush feel and slightly spicy and ever so leafy apple fruit tones. While rich this retain excellent focus and gains nice edges of citrus that helps frame the core of orchard fruits. It finishes a touch short though. 89pts
Rating: 87/100 - As reviewed by Wine & Spirits Magazine on 08/09. This richly textured wine has ripe yellow apple and vanilla flavors. For roast chicken.

Reviews for 2007 Vintage
Lemons and bay leaf on the nose. Lower acidity with peach flavors. Later on the wine bursts with pineapples - a really fruity acidic finish to the wine.
Pale lemon-gold with some tiny beads. Light nose of green fruit. Dry with medium-high acid, light-medium body. Green apple, sherbet and lemon on the palate. Not a lot of length.
Smooth and fine Riff Pinot Grigio is an excellent example of Old World reverence and New World technology; ripe texture and smooth; great with linguine and clams.
An appley white with some mineral and dried fruit character. Medium body, light finish. Good value, drink now.

ORGANICThe vineyard sources for most of this Pinot Grigio contain a substantial amount of dolomite limestone which has an obvious impact on the wine's character and style. It is because of the contribution that these fossils (limestone) make to the wine's character that they have been chosen to be incorporated into the label design as a reminder of its geological origin. Simple white wine, with apple, lemon and light mineral character. Light body. Delicate finish. Drink now.
Brilliant straw-yellow color. Very perfumed, riche, slightly smoky, uplifted varietal aroma paried with elegant oak spice. Clean, grapey, full-bodied flavor, quite soft and creamy, delicate and with a fresh finish. Remarkably long and spicy on the palate. Under proper storage conditions, this wine may be cellared for 4 to 6 years.
This top value Pinot Grigio reflects the expertise of acclaimed winegrower Alois Lageder, and the wines he selected from vineyard sources in the Tre Venezie (Alto Adige, Trentino and Veneto) - acknowledged as one of Italy's prime regions for quality white wines. Alois Lageder carefully selects the wines on-site; they are sur lie-matured in stainless steel tanks, then blended and bottled at his LÜwengang winemaking facilities. riff Pinot Grigio reflects the origin of its prime growing area in style and character, and demonstrates all the varietal's best characteristics: good structure and intensity on the palate, balanced with lively acidity.
