Editorial Reviews for Alois Lageder Pinot Bianco Alto Adige Südtirol
Quite fruity on the nose with layers of peach, kiwi, chamomile and wild flower aromas and just a hint of maraschino cherry. Light weight and fresh in the mouth, this brings lightly peachy flavors to the table wrapped up in lightly nutty and floral suggestions. There’s a hint of green herb and citrus on the back end, which leads to a relatively long if simple and acid-driven finish. Simple and refreshing. 86 points
This is quite perfumed on the nose with notes of wild raspberries and lingonberries cut through by gentle suggestions of wildflowers and forest floor. There's a nice twang of sour watermelon on entry, then this settles down into a more conventional cherry vein of fruit that is couched in a rather soft, if vividly bright texture that leads to a lovely, nuanced mineral and almond rich finish. A bit on the bigger side but well balanced and ready for preserved pork products! 89pts

First time I tried a red wine from this region in Italy. Very nice wine; smooth, fruity and delicious.
Wow this is an amazing wine: dark chocolate cherries, herbal and acidic notes, almost a rustic vegetal woodsiness that tingles the nose greatly. i love this medium bodied wine worth the money!!!! It makes me like Italy all over again!
Deep pure, long lasting and "animal" tasting Pinot noir. Can age for 10 years+

Brilliant straw yellow colour with a green tint. Very fine, fruity (apples, peaches), forward varietal aroma. Pronounced, clean, elegant, grapey flavour, light to medium-bodied with a fresh mouth-watering finish.
Hailing from the Alto Adige region of northern Italy, known for its fleshy, heavier whites, the Lageder Pinot Bianco is no exception to the rule. Less sharp than Pinot Grigio, its more famous cousin, Pinot Bianco has a rounder, fruitier flavor, even while maintaining a refreshing crispness. Perfect as an apertif or an accompaniment to light fish or chicken dishes.
Ultrarich, with layers of opulent, tropical fruit and light mineral undertones. Full-bodied, with a long, long finish. Drink now.
Beyond the flavors of white peach and hay, therersquo;s a subtle red fruit character adding dimension to this lean, bright white. Ideal served with a plate of salami and cheese.
Alois Lageder Pinot Bianco is a bright, crisp white with a brilliant straw yellow color and a bouquet of apple, peach, and mineral. The palate is vibrant, mouthwatering, and elegant, making a perfect pair for salads, asparagus, and a wide array of seafood. Adapted from The Wine Spectator
