Alois Lageder Haberlehof Pinot B Pinot ' /italy-Ü/trentino-Alto Adige 2007
Editorial Reviews for Alois Lageder Haberlehof Pinot B Pinot ' /italy-Ü/trentino-Alto Adige
This is quite aromatic in a narrow range of herbal and citrus tones with some apple tones and plenty of dusty minerality. In the mouth this is fairly large, a real Chardonnay drinker’s Pinot Grigio with round, lush feel and slightly spicy and ever so leafy apple fruit tones. While rich this retain excellent focus and gains nice edges of citrus that helps frame the core of orchard fruits. It finishes a touch short though. 89pts
Lemons and bay leaf on the nose. Lower acidity with peach flavors. Later on the wine bursts with pineapples - a really fruity acidic finish to the wine.
Pale lemon-gold with some tiny beads. Light nose of green fruit. Dry with medium-high acid, light-medium body. Green apple, sherbet and lemon on the palate. Not a lot of length.

Beyond the flavors of white peach and hay, therersquo;s a subtle red fruit character adding dimension to this lean, bright white. Ideal served with a plate of salami and cheese.
This shows lots of sliced green apple and honey on the nose. Full-bodied, with tangy acidity and a vibrant finish. Drink now.
Therersquo;s beautiful mineral and apple character on the nose, with hints of apple. Medium- to full-bodied, with good fruit and a clean, crisp finish. Drink now.
The 2009 Pinot Bianco is a very pretty, stylish wine with gorgeous aromatics and expressive, generous fruit. Fresh, refined and polished throughout, this entry-level Pinot Bianco offers terrific quality for the money. Anticipated maturity: 2010ndash;2012. This is the finest set of wines I have tasted from Alois Lageder.
Hailing from the Alto Adige region of northern Italy, known for its fleshy, heavier whites, the Lageder Pinot Bianco is no exception to the rule. Less sharp than Pinot Grigio, its more famous cousin, Pinot Bianco has a rounder, fruitier flavor, even while maintaining a refreshing crispness. Perfect as an apertif or an accompaniment to light fish or chicken dishes.
