Almira Grenache Blend Campo de Borja Los Dos 2008
My first review: liked it a lot. Not too fruity, not too dry. Flavorful, but not strong.
I'm sitting on my back porch, nice fire going, enjoying a fine bottle of the 2008. Smooth tannins, deep purple, smooth, goes down fine. If I were to pair with food I would say a nice cheese platter with a balsamic reduction or a grilled steak and veggies. No food needed to enjoy. Does well on it's own. Must, fruity & a little tangey. But really smooth & can't beat the price,$8.99.love that!
External Reviews for Almira Grenache Blend Campo de Borja Los Dos
An excellent Spanish red from the Campo de Borja region, made from a blend of old-vine Garnacha and a bit of Syrah. Dark, fresh and – no surprise – deliciously "grapey" on the palate. Light, silky tannins make for a very pleasant finish. Try it with grilled fare for a failsafe pairing.
