The Best of Amarones (apart from DalForno's much more expensive one..)
My favourite is '97. but this is still very very nice.
Dark fruit, nice soft tannins. Undervegetation, concentrated fruit aromas.

Rating: 5/5 - As reviewed by Decanter Hot on the nose. Seductive, silky black juicy fruit; savoury black cherry and tobacco, with spice on the palate. Closed at the moment. Drink 5+ years.

Wine.com

Deep purple in color with a bouquet full of dried fruit. Rich and full bodied, intense and elegant. Velvety smooth. Amarone is an extremely important wine in Italian viticulture as it is unique to the Valpolicella region. Recommended with hearty dishes. Excellent with roasted red meats.
