Alice White Chardonnay 2015

Member Review by Robbie 22:

Have just returned from a "study" cruise on the Norwegian Jade & found to our surprise "Alice White" on the wine list -not only the cheapest white but also tasted the best & then we found it be Aussie -as well -WOW-ticked all the boxes. But are still struggling to find it available in NSW -we are approx.90minutes south of City. Staff on the cruise commented on the popularity of the Alice White brand which superceeded all other white wine brands

Few things in life capture the spirit of Australia quite as perfectly as a glass of Alice White. Since 1996, Alice has rewarded wine lovers and adventure-seekers with rich, delicious wines produced in the heart of sun-drenched South Eastern Australia, among the world’s finest wine regions. Now, our smooth, boldly flavored, fruit-forward wines sport a vibrant new label capturing the essence of Australia: a kicked-back kangaroo absorbing the radiant warmth of the intense Australian sun. The label and bottle capsule of each Alice White wine – Riesling, Lexia, Chardonnay, Red Lexia, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Pinot Noir and Merlot – is color-coded for easy identification, so you can quickly find your favorites without a wine store walkabout. The exemplary quality, accessibility and price-worthiness of our wines frequently earn “Best Value” raves from leading wine publications like Wine Spectator. If you haven’t yet experienced Australia in a glass, we invite you to kick back, chill out and “Have a Glass with Alice.” Read less

Dear Alice, I followed a few glasses of 2009 J. Lohr Arroyo Seco Chardonnay with a glass of you... Quick question, am I drinking wine or yellow bubbly water? Your texture is borderline fizzy, yet you taste like water with some strange additive. I'm seriously debating whether you were worth the $10 for a 1.5L bottle on sale, and actually miss my buddy Cavit who tends to hold up well against the competition on weekend nights. Best, Your lost customer. Seriously though, taste test this against the Cavit, and try to NOT agree with me... exactly, I win.

Pretty good for a cheap white.

A wonderfully balanced Chardonnay with delicate apple, pear and melon flavors, coupled with distinct aromas of vanilla and toasted coconut. An off-dry, buttery finish rounds out this refreshing white. - Winery ** SOLD OUT **

Clean and fruity mdash; what can one reasonably ask of a wine at this price point? Pineapple and other tropical fruit flavors are delivered by a round, easy mouthfeel and soft finish.

Full-flavored and fruit-centric, herersquo;s a clean, bright Chardonnay with some delicate floral notes. Give it a chill for aperitifs.

An entry-level wine, pleasingly round and soft, with enough vanilla, melon and tropical fruit flavors to merit commendation. Could use a touch more crispness, but at this price, whorsquo;s complaining?

Herersquo;s a pretty Australian Chardonnay, brimming with pear and gentle spice flavors. Itrsquo;s appealing to drink sooner rather than later, and at this price and score itrsquo;s a smart choice when the occasion demands more than one bottle.

Combines tropical fruit and peaches in a soft, medium-bodied Chardonnay thatrsquo;s patterned just right for mainstream tastes. Ubiquitous, with 290,000 cases imported.

Fresh, fruity and open, herersquo;s a pretty mouthful of tropical fruit and apple flavors that linger on the soft finish. Drink now.
