Alfred Gratien is a Champagne house based in Epernay, France that has been producing since 1864. Nicolas Jaeger is the current cellar master, responsible for ensuring the quality of the Champagnes, selecting the very best Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grapes to add to the cuvées. The grapes are sourced from the three main regions of Champagne for each varietal: Chardonnay from Côtes des Blancs, Pinot Noir from Montagne de Reims and Pinot Noir from the Marne Valley. Wine is produced without the use of malolactic fermentation to preserve the integrity of the grapes’ specific characters. All of these factor in to make a series of top quality, small production Champagnes in a variety of styles sure to please any palate.
