Alejandro Fernandez Pesquera Tinto Ribera del Duero 2011

Winemaker's Notes:

91 points Josh Raynolds (International Wine Cellar): Brilliant ruby. Fresh cherry, dark berries and vanilla on the highly perfumed nose, with a hint of woodsmoke building in the glass. Sappy and nicely focused, offering zesty bitter cherry and blackberry flavors underscored by a mineral element. Becomes fleshier and sweeter on the clinging finish, which features supple tannins and a touch of smoked meat. (Sep 2014)

Bodegas Alejandro Fernandez:
More than a working philosophy, the four wineries that form the wine heritage of Alejandro Fernández –the Pesquera Corporation– share the same story of love for the viniculture that time helped to perfect. The bonds with its home land are clearly expressed in the symbol of the group: the image of the Arch and the Tower of Pesquera de Duero, typical of its flagships, the “Tinto Pesquera’.
