the highly aromatic nose is floral as much as rasberry; it's violety, rosey. purple, a little hot, a touch of pepper, absolutely delicious.

Although the Aleatico is usually vinified as a sweet wine, winemaker Andrea Occhipinto gives this dry style from vines on the Elba Island on Lake Bolzena where this varietal is indigenous. The nose is highly aromatic of wild raspberries and dark fruit. The palate follows suite.
