Winemakers Notes

Robust, full and warm, the bouquet recalls black cherries in alcohol, liquorice, and leather and has a slight hint of wood. Excellent with roasts and game, also ideal with very mature and/or piquant cheeses. Unbeatable when sipped during convivial conversation at the end of a meal. We recommend uncorking the bottle a few hours before drinking or "oxygenation" with a decanter. Serve at 18-20°C.

Reviews

Rating: 93/100 - As reviewed by The Wine Messenger A rich, round Amarone with great complexity. Drinks beautifully now.

Garnet red with a red-brown rim showing maturity. Aromas of black cherries, rose petals and liquorice. Round, smooth mouthfeel on the palate with cherries, raisins and some spice. Serve with roasts, game and strong cheeses. Drink over the next 2 to 3 years.
