Albero Monastrell 2007
OMG--okay...we had the 2008 vintage (received as a casual gift.) This wine was absoltuley splendid for weeknights. Not terribly sweet (i'm a Bordeaux drinker) and a very pleasant surprise...especially for the $$. If you're on a budget but like the clarity (aka thinnest) of European wines, this wine's for you!!
this wine is widely available at trader joe;s ask me the wine guy at tj;s in sac cal
Drinks like you are pouring from a carafe of sangaria and just filtering the fruit out. Way Too Sweet!
A whole lotta MEH and definitely not the bottle I wanted to kick summer rose lovin' off with. Like a big ole glass of strawberry juice.
also try the spanish sparklig wine its all organic
I happen to love Albero Monastrell. It is NOT "Sangria sweet." It is delicately sweet with apparently low sulfite count, making it ideal for those who, like I, react to sulfites.
Three and a half glasses
