Alamos Cabernet Sauvignon Mendoza 2007
From the western edge of Argentina in the high-altitude vineyards of Mendoza's wine country comes this special Alamos wine, representing the high art of blending. Using grapes from many distinct microclimates, Alamos wines are blended to create flavorful, drinkable wines that preserve each variety's distinctive flavors, aromas and textures. Alamos Cabernet Sauvignon offers aromas of red fruit flavors, sweet spice and a touch of fresh mint. Garnet jewel toned, this Cabernet Sauvignon is full and soft with layers of red currant and cassis, notes of cigar box, leather and ripe black fruits. The wine finishes with finely grained tannins that add structure and length.

Offers a focused nose of red fruit mixed with notes of eucalyptus and sweet spices. The palate is full of ripe, concentrated cassis and red currant fruit flavors with light touches of cedar spice and black pepper.
Slightly chewy feel throughout, with medium-weight briar, black currant and toast flavors. Drink now.
The 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon spent nine months in French and American oak. Purple-colored, it reveals aromas of cedar, spice box, cassis, and black currant. On the palate it is medium-bodied with ample savory fruit, good depth, and a medium-long finish. Drink it over the next 2-3 years.
Good medium ruby-red. Pure, varietally precise aromas of black cherry, bitter chocolate and licorice. Fairly broad and pliant but not overly sweet, offering flavors of raspberry, licorice, herbs and menthol. Showing a bit more structure than the Alamos merlot if not quite the same sweetness.
The spicy blackberry-scented 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon delivers a light to medium-bodied core of sweet dark fruits. Tannic and slightly dry in the finish, this value should be drunk over the next 2 years.
Good juicy bramble, black cherry and vanilla flavors, with a gutsy finish.
