Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.

Very juicy and nicely defined, with a beam of blueberry, linzer torte and red licorice notes woven with a roasted vanilla note. An extra note of fruitcake marks the grippy finish. Drink now through 2013.

Alain Jaume is a negociant label for Domaine Grand Veneur. Since 1826, the Jaumes have maintained the best terriors in the Rhone Valley. Today Sebastien and Christophe are beginning to run the family estate. Rasteau is one of the villages of Candocirc;tes du Rhone. The deep garnet, edged with purple, wine has aromas and flavors of plum, raspberry, cranberry, blueberry and black pepper, and a long finish. It is lush and round, rich and juicy. This is a delicious wine with depth and style! Serve with steak, lamb stew or roast venison. A votre santandeacute;!

Though often overlooked as an appellation, Rasteau is usually a source for some stellar bargains in the Rhandocirc;ne. The Jaume is 90% Grenache, and has just a bit of Syrah and Mourvandegrave;dre to round out the intense cherry fruit flavors with black currant, anise and wet earth.
