Alain Hudelot-Noellat Bourgogne 2009
Alain Hudelot owns some fantastic vineyards and makes his wines in a natural style. He is now assisted by cellar master Vincent Mugnier. There is no green harvest. Alain allows the grapes to ripen to full phenolic maturity, retains some stems, ferments using natural yeasts and employs an extended maceration. While many of the wines see new oak, the wines show a wonderful purity of fruit and the barrel spice is always well integrated.
