What to Expect
Sangiovese's claim to fame is its role as the heart of Chianti, Brunello and many Super Tuscan wines though it is gaining ground as a varietal wine around the globe. When grown in a suitable location the grape's soft tannins, succulent acidity and moderately intense cherry and herb flavors make Sangiovese very easy to drink as well as supremely versatile at the dinner table.

Reviews Add a Review
Rating: 91/100 - As reviewed by Vinfolio Dark garnet hue. Lovely, inviting aromatics that flirt with plum, cherry and mulberry delicately accented with a cedar/sweet tobacco spice; has a floaty high-note of blood orange. Silky, juicy freshness of black plum and bing cherry that is straightforward and no-nonsense with complementary elegant tannins. Perfect, supportive acid with underpinnings of roasted coffee and hint of spice. A serious effort deserving extended consideration.
