Very drinkable pinot noir, which I don't normally like much at all! Slightly sweet, but not overdone. Good sipping wine. Got the 2009 vintage at a wine shop in Charleston, SC after a tasting.
I bought this bottle because of the monkey on the bottle (a private couple joke about "Monkey Love";) I opened it the other night to have with a filet and could not believe how wonderfully it danced in my mouth. I agree that it stands up as a glass to sip . I am off to order a case and to try the Reisling which of course should shine, being German .
My Daughter bought this for me. I must admit the packaging is an eye catcher. And now looking on line-the price point is great!! I really liked the flavor - . a wine I can sip on. This is the one for me!
