The fog is one of the best wines around! be careful however the lightness one tastes at first sip can be deceiving, as this is a full bodied heavy wine sip slowly :)

Adrian Fog produces some of California's most compellingly complex, aromatic Pinots. The 2005 Pinot Noir Savoy Vineyard is reminiscent of a premier or grand cru from Burgundy's village of Morey-St.-Denis. Forest floor, fresh mushroom, spearmint, plum, root beer, and strawberry characteristics are found in this soft, medium to full-bodied, round effort. Enjoy this sensational Pinot over the next 3-4 years.

The most backward offering is the 2006 Pinot Noir Savoy Vineyard. Blueberry, raspberry, forest floor, and violet notes make an appearance in this medium dark ruby-colored Pinot. There is sweet fruit on the attack, but the acidity and tannin quickly kick in, and the finish is tight and restrained. Another 6-12 months of bottle age should reveal even more character. This is a purely made wine that captures the elusive nature of this varietal.

Five clone blend. By blending five clones we are able to achieve both depth and complexity. The 114 clone off the terrace is harvested first and yields fresh red fruit flavors. The 115 clone from the front of the vineyard on heavy soil offers deep blue fruit and weight. Martini and Wadensville clones produce spice and complexity. And the Pommard clone has an overall benefit of weight and flavor adding rich earth characteristics. Ripe cherry and blueberries bounce in the nose as soft persimmon and earth rest in the background of this complex Pinot Noir. Produced by natural fermentation using only free run juice. Bottled unfined, unfiltered. Cellar for 5 - 7 years. 320 cases produced.
