Adler Fels Winery was founded in Sonoma Valley in 1979 by David and Ayn Coleman. Adler Fels Winery was founded in Sonoma Valley in 1979 by David and Ayn Coleman. The winery soon established itself as a producer of award-winning Sauvignon Blanc, Gewürztraminer and Chardonnay from Sonoma County, especially Russian River Valley. Adler Fels later expanded our sourcing to include ultra-premium wine varietals from Napa Valley and other premier appellations throughout California. David Coleman was a true wine industry pioneer, developing innovations in production that would later become industry standards. David created the first gold foil label to be used on California wine bottles. He is also credited with inventing the adjustable top fermentation tank. In addition, David established the winery’s unique program of custom winemaking so our clients could contract bottle their own proprietary wine blends and brands. Adler Fels is now owned by the Adams Wine Group, a collection of premium wineries and wine-related businesses. The new leadership team is ensuring that the innovative and entrepreneurial tradition first established in 1979 continues at Adler Fels today. Read less
