Adelsheim Pinot Gris 2007
Crisp bright flavors have always been the hallmark of Adelsheim's Pinot gris. This 2007 shows its usual lovely floral bouquet. Bosc pear peach and Winesap apple flavors dominate the fruit profile with a bit of spiciness. This wine has incredible versitility pairing with everything from very spicy foods (Thai) or strongly flavored foods (such as ceviche) to the more classic poached salmon shellfish bisques and a traditional oven-roasted turkey.
Editorial Reviews for Adelsheim Pinot Gris
What a wonderful nose with layered notes of apple butter, hazelnuts, sandy soil, subtle spice with a suggestion of vanilla and touch of raspberry. Restrained and light on the palate with complex flavors that have some power behind them but aren’t really fruit driven. There are nice earth and underlying spice tones over which are layered dried fruits with zesty acidity refreshing the mouth. The finish shows crisp white orchard fruits with great length and energy. A lovely, expressive wine. 91pts
filled with floral and peach aromas with some pear and honeysuckle as well. The palate showcases more fruit flavors such as melons, wonderful length and paired beautifully with the cheese, Von Trapp Oma, a sharp acidic but buttery cow's milk cheese. I enjoyed this pairing
What's New in Booze - 9.1 out of 10 In this 2007 vintage you find delicate aromas of pear, peach and apple skins that lead you to a refreshing palate with just the right amount of acidity that keeps it light and lively. Flavors of nectarine, citrus and melons show through nicely with just a touch of minerality. The finish is surprisingly creamy which lends a mouth filling texture and extends the finish longer than you would expect from a wine that starts off so crisp and clean.
Very light and crispy. Would be enjoyed on a nice summery day in a park with some cheese and baguette!

Crisp, bright flavors have always been the hallmark of Adelsheim Pinot gris. In this 2006, you'll find beautifully delineated Bosc pear, white peach, and Winesap apple, with a touch of spice. It pulls off the difficult feat of providing a gentle creaminess that lends a mouth-filling texture and long finish, yet still impressing as a wine that's crisp and clean. Try it with mildly spicy foods (such as ceviche), not so mildly spicy Thai cuisine, rich fish entrees, and even classic oven-roasted fowl.
