Adega de Moncao Vinho Verde Red Danaide 2010

Member Review by Damaris Rivera:

fresh wildberries and plum with a touch of pepper. crisp and dry. I enjoyed this with a traditional Portugese meal of Bacalhau a Portuguesa (Portuguese style Cod fish) but it was suggeted to try this with steak or leitao (Portuguese style roasted suckling pig).

A red Vinho Verde? Why yes, this hard to find, fiercely acidic wine was created from hand-picked Vinhao grapes from the best crop. It's dark berried with crusty minerals and is by no means a sipping wine. You need food, like cod fish in tomato and onion or wild boar sausage.
